Baldi Middle School

Philadelphia, PA – 100,000 GSF built in 1970s – Emergency maintenance of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems.  The scope of the project included upgrade of cooling system, building lighting, IT system and building controls.  The mechanical system upgrade included providing new 500 ton dual compressor centrifugal chiller, new forced draft cooling tower, replacement of certain penthouse air handling units, replacement of below grade fuel oil tank and upgrade of building automation system from pneumatic to electronic.  The lighting system upgrade included replacement of all lighting fixtures with new energy savings fixtures with dual switching.  The plumbing system upgrade included replacing existing tank type steam fired domestic water heaters with new instantaneous gas fired water heaters.
